Big South Fork (Canyon)

Spalding Hurst, Jay Thomas and myself set out yesterday to hit the South Fork at a low but always fun 650 cfs. We ran it twice stopping for photo opps. and a little surfing. The water was beautiful and the temperatures could not have been warmer for late November (68). The water however was super cold from the chilly nights down in gorge. We all three ran the boof line a Jake's Ledge and aced it, I was a little nervous considering it was my first time attempting the move. No swims on the day in part to an awesome save by Jay just before washing into Maria's Rock, nice job Jay. The South Fork is a wonderful run and not to far from home, hopefully next trip I will be able to experience the upper gorge.
